Full House fans, the wait is finally over. After almost two decades of life without the Tanner family, John Stamos gave the world the news it's been waiting for by announcing on Jimmy Kimmel Live that the show is back! Well, sort of.

Netflix has signed on to releasing a season of a new spin-off series that has longtime fans very happy. Thirteen episodes of this show will be made with an initial hour-long kickoff. It's not guaranteed that everyone from the original cast will be present but there's more than enough who have signed on to be considered a true successor.

The new show will essentially replace D.J. Tanner (Candace Cameron Bure) in the Danny Tanner role, with a very similar start. She will be joined alongside a couple of worthy replacements to become her version of an Uncle Jesse and an Uncle Joey. No word yet on if there will be a modern day heir to the family's beloved pet, Comet. But consider it a safe bet that picture of a pink bunny will be one someone's wall.

So what's known about this new show? While details are sparing in some respects there is more than enough to make fans salivate about what's ahead in their Netflix queue. Let's take a look at 10 of the most exciting things that are known so far...

John Stamos is the man who announced the good news of the brilliantly named Full House spin-off and he gave us even more information to whet our appetites. Apparently he will be behind the scenes as a producer of the show.

Not only will many of the on screen characters be returning but many off screen people will be too.

Stamos would tell Kimmel, "We've been working on this for many, many years...we were trying to do some kind of spin-off. We wanted to give credit to the legacy. We didn't want to just sort of throw it away."
