10 Reasons Why Family Guy Is Better Than The Simpsons

Did you grow up on The Simpsons before upgrading to Family Guy? You wouldn€™t be alone if that is right. There will always be heated debate as to which is better, but it seems clear that there is only one winner; Family Guy. The two shows have different types of humour, but both are animated programs targeted at adults. This commonality makes a comparison fair, although on almost every comparable basis Family Guy wins. Both shows are long running, and both feature an everyday family. Both have episodes that will almost certainly remind you of your own family life. By allowing you to relate to the characters you feel a sense of attachment, and you grow a bond with certain characters; if you are the oldest boy in the family there must have been some point where you have felt a little bit like Bart. The Simpsons is the longest running animated show in history. That is a laudable achievement, and the point of this article is not to negate the incredible achievement of The Simpsons. The Simpsons was groundbreaking, and without it we would not have Family Guy and American Dad. However, after the age of 15 The Simpsons becomes less engaging and Family Guy becomes better and funnier. Here's why...
