Star Trek Action Figures Star Trek has been going since the 1960s, and due to the on-going popularity of the franchise there has been numerous attempts to cash in with a variety of merchandise and tie-ins created. A wide ranging book line, as well as the first film tie-in McDonald's Happy Meal, not to mention clothes, replica items and a large range of toys and games. But as with any popular franchise the is the temptation to label any old item with a logo and charge three dollars more for it... I mean who can forget the Dark Vader that French fast food chain Quick created as a tie in for Star War: The Phantom Menace? It had a dyed black bun.
