10 Surreal Pokemon Moments

Pokemon-43-600x300 Intro In the Anime, many old characters are being recalled into the current series, possibly to reel back in some fans of old. Anyways, we see two characters returning already, one in Charizard, and one in Mewtwo who will return in the next Pokemon Movie, which if I am right, will be the 18th released. In my opinion the first and second seasons were the best because the episodes wasn't strictly for a child audience and really did give some hilarious moments with Brock's infatuation with every girl he saw, Ash constantly being electrocuted, set alight and attacked by Spearow and Misty's clear love for Ash leading to some awkward moments. Unfortunately, the series we see now really do avoid this and make the target audience strictly for children, and I watched one recently which nearly made me blow up as Ash was unable to identify basic Gen One Pokemon. Here are 10 surreal Pokemon moments, which in all their own way, stunned viewers.

10. Pikachu's An A-Hole

Pikachu-Laughing

I chose to start with this one simply because of the fact Pikachu is the mascot we have all come to love, but Pikachu was ant always a nice guy. In the Pilot episode, Ash being lazy, woke up late and by the time he got to Oak's lab, there were no starter Pokemon left (Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur), forcing Oak to give him a less suitable option, namely Pikachu. Their relationship didn't get off to the best of starts because Ash couldn't control the little fella, constantly trying to shove back in his ball he so hated, and Pikachu just all round being moody. Pikachu at the time was a real jerk, electrocuting anybody in sight, forcing Ash to wear gloves and even letting him get nailed by a swarm of Spearow's to his amusement. However, we eventually all saw the softer side of Pikachu when he salmoned into the air saving Ash by electrocuting all of those pesky birds and the infamous bond between them began at that very moment. (This doesn't subside from the fact that at the time, Pikachu was probably the biggest A*hole around.)
