10 Things We Need In Stranger Things 3

9. Justice For Will

Stranger Things Dustin Steve Mind Flayer
Netflix

Poor Will Byers.

First, he disappeared into the Upside Down within the first ten minutes of the show and essentially served as the MacGuffin for all of season one. Then, season two centered around the continued fallout of Will's time spent in the Upside Down, as the Mind Flayer took control of his mind. Not to mention the fact that government also faked his death at one point, his classmates continuously ridicule him, and even his friends and family aren't sure how to treat him. All of this to say, Will deserves to just be a normal kid in season three.

Well, as normal as Will Byers can be.

Obviously, he'll still be dealing with the trauma of these events, but season three needs to find a new character to pick on. Will has never had the chance to be just one of the gang like Lucas, Dustin, and Mike. He's always been the troubled character, and while it gives Noah Schnapp the opportunity to deliver some truly devastating performances, it's time to let him lighten up a bit.

Give Will some comedic beats or even a side story about finding love, like season two did for Dustin and Lucas. It will flesh out his character as more than just 'the one in danger' and add some variety to the show's formula.
