12 Cartoons You Definitely Watched In The 90s

11. Sharky & George

Investigators of the sea. Originally a French Canadian concept, the show was translated into English and took up most of the 90€™s. Airing from 1991 to €™98 is would have been near impossible not to catch a glimpse of the two underwater detectives, poking their fins into fishy business. The cartoon was written like children€™s noir, with jazz routines and dance numbers. It followed the poisson pair (as the French must have called them) as they tried to clean up their deep-sea habitat. Sharky was the big pink one of the duo, complete with fedora hat to further enhance that classic Hollywood feel. George was his younger colleague, a fish of an altogether more tropical persuasion. With plot lines taken straight out the gangster genre, Sharky & George brought a whole new take on the phrase sleeping with the fishes.
