12 Game Of Thrones Spoilers You'll Know Before The Books

Spoilers are coming.

Like the relentless march of Winter, the Game Of Thrones TV show has eaten through almost all of George RR Martin's source material, expanding necessarily into new narrative arcs and embellishing to give fans something new. Inevitably, there will come a time - not so long from now, in fact - when the show will go beyond what Martin has published. Given the writer's occasionally frustrating lac of haste in writing his epic series, quite how the show would continue without an annoying hiatus was always a rather pressing question. But now HBO and Martin have confirmed that the show will go boldly into uncharted territory, spoiling details that the book series has not yet released. With Martin's confirmation that the show will spoil his books comes confirmation that the two series will end in the same place (a huge vote of confidence in his readership not to drop away when they know the ending). And that means some key plot threads that remain open in both will be resolved possibly years before Martin finishes writing them. Warning: Inevitably, there will be spoilers from both the books AND the show. Proceed with due caution.
