17. No Way Out - The Walking Dead

Jessie Ron Sam The Walking Dead
AMC

The Walking Dead has made some very poor decisions over the past year, in particular with the cliffhanger ending, and Season 7 has seen a slide in terms of both viewers and quality.

It's a massive shame, because the show can do better, and the back-half of Season 6 featured some excellent instalments.

Kicking it all off was No Way Out, which, even in the pantheon of TWD premieres and mid-season premieres, exploded onto our screens.

So much happened here that it's almost impossible to recap everything: picking up on their attempt to navigate the walkers, Sam screams, all hell breaks loose, and the Andersons are completely wiped-out. Carl gets to live out his major comic book moment. Daryl blows some guys up with a !*$% rocket launcher.

It was intense, exciting, and most of all just brilliantly entertaining to watch.
