20 Easter Eggs You Didn't Notice In American Horror Story

Did you know this man killed the 1986 Boston Red Sox?

Can Ryan Murphy be stopped at this point? It would certainly save his audience a lot of sleepless nights. The television impresario is currently putting the finishing touches to Scream Queens, a horror-comedy series that's due to air on Fox sometimes in 2015. But what fans are really looking forward to, however, is Murphy returning to his original spooky TV show. American Horror Story will return soon for a fifth helping, the enigmatically titled Hotel, featuring many returning cast members, along with new additions Lady Gaga and Naomi Campbell, bizarrely. Nothing is all that surprising in the world of AHS, however, where fetish-rubber serial killers squeak shoulders along with ghosts, Nazi doctors and Steve Nicks as queen of the witches. It's that absolute manic delight the show has in its subject matter and throwing everything it possibly can to scare the audience that has earned it such a fervent following, with fans producing art, songs, stories and theories inspired by the series. If you're into American Horror Story, then you're very much into it. New to horror or not, the obsessives get properly obsessed. Even some of them might have missed the more obscure references that have been sneaked in the anthology show over the first four seasons, however. There have been nods to its genre influences, real-life supernatural history, sports stars, cursed pop songs and more - and they could have gone right over your head..
