For all the references, exterior shots of large urban settings, and the show's distinctly New York vibe, Brooklyn Nine-Nine is filmed far away from the Big Apple. When asked about shooting in New York, Andy Samberg corrected the interviewer, revealing that the show is actually shot entirely in Los Angeles.
