Arrow Season 4: 8 Things You Need To Know About Green Arrow

It's not easy being green.

Oliver Queen has put away the Arrow suit, hung up the bow, and rode off into the sunset with Felicity, leaving Starling City and his vigilantism behind (for the summer break at least). Of course we know he'll be returning, and that once again he's going to have to put on some sort of outfit and fire arrows at bad-guys. When he does so, though, he'll be rather different. Season 4 will finally see him complete his transition into Green Arrow, the comic-book character he is actually based on. The show has been slowly building up to this moment, starting off with the Hood back in season 1. He was a more ruthless, vindictive killer; necessary for the show starting out, but not manageable going forward. He had to become something else. So he became the Arrow, still dark and brooding, but reluctant to kill unless there was absolutely no other option. It worked for the challenges he faced, but now with the show wanting him to maintain a relationship with Felicity, he's going to have to lighten up a bit. That means putting on the new costume and taking on his latest - and you'd imagine final - persona. The Arrow is dead. Long live Green Arrow.
