Arrow Season 7: 4 Ups & 0 Downs From 'Past Sins'
Two tortured souls steal the show in an outstanding instalment of Arrow.

Arrow made its long-awaited return to The CW last week, allowing us, and Oliver Queen, to get up close and personal with the new Green Arrow herself, Emiko Queen. While the former mayor of Star City originally decided not to confront his sister, he eventually forced himself to seek her out - which he did in the episode's closing moments.
Following on from that, 'Past Sins' saw the two Emerald Archers meet for the first time and prompted Oliver to re-evaluate his current approach to gaining the trust of the people. Meanwhile, Laurel Lance was also forced to address her past when she feared that someone from Earth-2 had followed her to Earth-1 and, in doing so, she learned of the importance of trusting people.
While all this was taking place, the episode's subplot focused on A.R.G.U.S.' attempts to get the Ghost Initiative back up and running - a task that gave a certain former Team Arrow member a chance to shine.
All in all, 'Past Sins' was a character study on the show's two most compelling individuals, reminding us that it's at its best when it strips things back and focuses on its tormented protagonists. The result was a thoroughly engaging piece of storytelling that delivered some of the finest acting Arrow has ever seen.
