Comic-Con 2017: 10 Major TV Reveals You Need To Know

10. Kara Zor-El Is No Longer Kara Danvers - Supergirl

Supergirl Season 3
The CW

The Arrowverse had a big presence at Comic-Con, with a panel taking place on Saturday afternoon giving us a good look at the various upcoming seasons.

One of the more intriguing prospects was the future of Supergirl, as played by Melissa Benoist. Last season she set off a device that forced all the Daxamites - including Mon-El - to leave Earth, a difficult but necessary step to save the planet.

Now she's wrestling with the ramifications of that, and is - as we hear in the voiceover - actually giving up being Kara Danvers. The struggle between those dual roles has been a core element of the show, and indeed the Supergirl character and, if you want to get really broad, many a superhero. It's a huge move to just suddenly decide to give up that identity and only be Supergirl, and sets up a big character arc for Season 3.
