3. Season Two
The second season of a show is often key in terms of making or breaking a fan base and Dexter was one of the shows that got it bang on. Following on from the Ice Truck Killer the show went down a different route with Dexter trying to hide his life more from Rita by joining a narcotics anonymous group. This ended badly when he met Lila, a recovering addict with a fetish for fire and serial killers apparently. Added to this Sergeant Doakes was hot on Dexters tail and through this we got to uncover more of Dexters past and discover how he had become the man he is today. The final few episodes of this season are some of the best in the show and the explosive (literally) finale makes this the third best season of Dexter.
