The revived series of Doctor Who turns 10 years old on 26th March 2015 which means that it's nearly been an entire decade since the TARDIS reopened its doors to introduce TV's most iconic hero to a new generation. And oh, what a decade it has been! They say that time flies when you're having fun and Doctor Who fans can certainly vouch for that. The last 8 series, and the accompanying specials, have pushed the boundaries of TV drama with four Doctors (plus one that nobody knew about), a menagerie of malevolent monsters and a foray of faithful friends and companions who have kept us entertained and and enthralled in equal measure since the show's critically lauded 21st century revival. There have been over 100 episodes since the grand televisual return of the world's favourite Time Lord and now is as good a time as any to determine which have been the greatest so far. These are the stand out stories, the ones that will go down in not only Doctor Who history, but TV history itself, for defying the realms of what has firmly established itself as one of the world's most formidable sci-fi franchises in history. Ladies and gentlemen, these are the 10 best NuWho episodes to date. And they're probably not the ones you were expecting...
