Doctor Who: 10 Fan Made Videos You Have To See

Doctor Who goes viral.

Doctor Who Lego One of the greatest things about the Doctor Who universe is that it spreads far beyond the realms of Saturday night television. The dedication and creativity of the Doctor Who fandom is something that has remained consistent since the Time Lord's early beginnings back in 1963, and their passionate persistence - particularly during Doctor Who's extended hiatus in the 90's - was no doubt a contributing factor in the BBC's eventual realisation that there was still a genuine thirst for the Doctor's adventures. And thus the revived series was born! Fans could even say, therefore, that they themselves were wholly responsible for the series being recommissioned, but that's perhaps being a bit too self indulgent, don't you think? Before the wonders of technology, Doctor Who inspired fan creations came in the form of homemade scripts, stories and drawings, with Doctor devotees putting pen to paper to create their own timey-wimey adventures in various formats and guises. The show's far reaching format lends itself to being the perfect instigator to fuel imagination, but times change - as the Doctor knows all too well - and there's now a whole other platform on which to express one's commemorative creativity. Enter YouTube. The world of viral videos and user-created content is a world that's been taking the real one by storm and so it's no surprise that it didn't take long for Doctor Who fans to get their hands on it. To date, there's an abundance of Time Lord tributes and creations made readily available for our community's viewing pleasure, from puppet-style parodies to ingenious impressions, and, while it would take until the end of the universe itself to go through them all, here is a list of the most celebrated and highest rated of the bunch. So, let's get started!
