For Doctor Who fans, the waiting never gets any easier. Every year, their beloved Time Lord returns for another string of adventures anew but, just as you're getting used to having him back where he belongs at the centrepiece of your Saturday night televisual festivities, he's here and gone again before you can say "Raxacoricofallapatorius". Although sometimes it all feels pretty hopeless, you can rest assured that he'll always be back before you know it. The Twelfth Doctor and Clara Oswald last graced our screens on Christmas Day and, while the TARDIS doors have since remained firmly shut, it's been business as usual for the cast and crew who have been busy bringing the highly anticipated ninth series to life ahead of its global premiere in the autumn. So, what lies ahead for our honourable heroes this time, then? The BBC have been keeping things close to their chest thus far but, for the sake of our sanity, they've let a few tantalising tidbits slip through the net. There will be more two-parters than ever before, for starters, with timey-wimey twists and turns at every corner.
