Game Of Thrones: 10 Most Brutal Deaths
8. Lyanna Mormont
Lady Lyanna Mormont was quite simply a wonderful character. In terms of her age she was nothing more than a child, but in her heart and on the battlefield, she was a fearless leader and a warrior. Since the Old Bear joined the Night’s Watch, Jorah was exiled, and her mother Maege was killed during the War of the Five Kings, she ruled Bear Island.
Standing beside her King in the North, (and even naming Jon Snow as such before anyone else), Lyanna led her army into both the Battle of the Bastards and subsequently the Battle of Winterfell, the latter of which would tragically be her last.
While the rest of the women and children hid in the crypts during the battle with the Night King, an option that would have brought absolutely no shame on Lyanna or Bear Island, the Lady Mormont put on her battle gear and fought bravely alongside her men.
When face to face with a giant white walker, surely one of the most terrifying creatures imaginable, she did not back down, and even after having every single bone crushed within one huge clenched fist, she still managed to take the frozen beast down with her.
