Game Of Thrones: 10 Most Head-Scratching Plot Holes

Apparently a show with dragons and mythical ice demons can be too unrealistic.

Plot holes wider than the Moon Door itself are nothing new when it comes to any TV series, and like demented old Lysa Arryn, entire shows can be sucked into the void. Thankfully Game Of Thrones is based on George R.R. Martin's largely airtight writing, but that doesn't stop some inconsistencies seeping through. The books have been meticulously planned and perfected by Martin, and they are constantly ripped open by his trusted advisors and fact-checkers who keep the fine details on the right track. The same is true to the TV series to an extent, but there's less time to iron out every wrinkle. Then there's the fact that the show has taken some turns away from the source material, causing some rifts and discrepancies between the two mediums. Still, they both remain individually in tact and Thrones is a fantastic series, though it certainly isn't without its annoyances. Some events appear acceptable to begin with, but a second watch could reveal a huge stack of problems, and there are moments where the Hollywood gloss has been applied far too thickly, causing problems. There's nothing worse than being unable to see past a minor moment when the show's mask slid...

10. Tyrion Didn't Deal With Littlefinger

Cast your mind back to the days when Tyrion was held captive by Catelyn Stark, thrown into a sky cell high above the mountains in the Eyrie, and condemned to watch a trial by combat for his own life. That was all sparked with a lie, a dagger, designed to implicate Tyrion in an assassination attempt on Bran Stark. Once Tyrion made his unlikely return to King's Landing, why did he simply let the it slide? The book explains that Tyrion sees Littlefinger as untouchable, and once the Battle of Blackwater Bay hits the shores of King's Landing, more important things come to mind, but in the show, I feel like such an enormous issue, that sparked so much bad blood, deserves more than to be just forgotten about.
