9. The Hound's Purpose

Okay, so this is a plot hole which either destroys an entire Thrones religion or confirms that a major character is on the way back to the show. Sandor Clegane a.k.a. The Hound triumphed in a trial by combat over Beric Dondarrion. The Lightning Lord returns to life and releases the Hound back into the world. Clegane WON a trial by combat, despite his crimes. He's clearly supposed to have a purpose to serve, yet the last we saw of him, he was all-but-dead with little chance of survival. He's been gone for an entire season, so the presumption is that he's dead. If he stays that way, the Lord of Light unravels and it leaves a gaping hole in the end of that storyline.
