Game Of Thrones: 10 Most Head-Scratching Plot Holes

4. "20 Good Men"

It's hard to decide whether the "20 good men" incident is a total plot hole or just the most ludicrous moment in Game of Thrones' history. Stannis has thousands of men marching from the Wall to Winterfell, yet they are completely and utterly annihilated by Ramsay Bolton and just "20 good men". This is the same Stannis Baratheon who is described in the books as a man who clung onto Storm's End throughout the entirity of Robert's Rebellion despite the Tyrells efforts to starve him out. He survived by eating shoe leather and books... Yes, you read that correctly. Shoe leather and books. This is a man hell-bent on survival and has proven himself to be a master tactician in war throughout history, yet "20 good men" led by a psychotic upstart is all it takes to cripple him and his entire army. I'm not buying it.
