Game Of Thrones: 8 Moments That Foreshadowed SPOILER'S Death

THAT death was planned all along. Sort of.

Warning: This article contains major spoilers for Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3.

Game of Thrones has been building to a new version of The Long Night ever since the very beginning. The episode itself lasted a record-breaking 82 minutes, but the Great War was won in the space of a single moment.

Arya Stark leaps down to attack the Night King, gets caught by her throat and then, in a quick bit of thinking, drops her dagger, catches it with her other hand, and stabs him. He shatters, the entire army of the dead bites the dust, and The Long Night is over in one of Game of Thrones' most shocking deaths yet.

Well, who saw that coming? Well, Bran, but apart from him?

Killing the Night King just halfway through the season is a big surprise, as this was "the first enemy and the last." Having Arya be the one to do it even more so, since most expected it to be Jon or Daenerys. And yet, Game of Thrones has, in some way, shape, or form, been laying the groundwork for this all along.
