Game Of Thrones Power Rankings: The Gift

Tracking the rise and fall of players in the game.

Last week on Game of Thrones power rankings we had a c**k merchant, an unseen Doran Martell, and Littlefinger finally made his way to the top of the ladder. Did he hang onto it this week? It was another dramatic outing for the show, giving us what is perhaps the best episode of the season thus far. Cersei ranked number four last week, but drops out after her lies, manipulation, and sex with her cousin finally caught up with her and she's thrown in a cell, while Arya (number 6) didn€™t make an appearance at all this week. What we did see was plenty of setup for the final three instalments, while being an extremely entertaining episode in its own right, and one that continues the shift in power from those who have become rather accustomed to holding it (i.e. the Lannisters). Within these power shifts, we see the Faith Militant extending their reach, Stannis heading for war, Sam losing his innocence, and the slightly-earlier-than-expected meeting of two major characters. Not ranked: Sansa and Reek (obviously); Ser Pounce; King Tommen the Increasingly Useless; Ghost; the safe (for now) Shireen; dragonglass dagger; Ser Friendstone; Margaery€™s rejection of venison stew...
