"Power is power." That is the rule established in the world of Game of Thrones, and that quest for power - who has it, who wants it, and who is struggling to deal with it - is the driving force behind many of the storylines and character arcs of the show. In the latest episode of season 5, Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken, we see many different kinds of power struggle play out. Tyrion struggles for power over his and Jorah's freedom; Lady Olenna for power over Cersei; Cersei for power over King's Landing; Petyr Baelish for any power he can get, any way he can get it. The success of each character in this is variable from season-to-season, episode-to-episode, even scene-to-scene. Its an ever-moving, ever-changing landscape, and who comes out on top this week probably wont be there by the next time we see them, while others who havent made the list may turn their fortunes around and begin their own ascent up the ladder, throwing a few bodies down on the way. As it is, this is where the power currently lies after Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken.
