Game Of Thrones: Ranking The Probability Of Every Character Death In The Battle Of The Bastards

And now his watch has ended. And his. And his. And hers.

Game Of Thrones Episode 9. Sounds good, right? The penultimate instalment of each season tends to bring some of the finest entertainment TV has ever seen, not just from Westeros.

Ned lost his head, the Blackwater burned green, the Red Wedding broke hearts, the Watchers on the Wall thrilled minds, and while it came one episode early, Hardhome blew fans faces off. Episode 9 is always a special occasion in Thrones.

Season 6 is set to offer another staggering spot of drama, action and blood as the Battle of the Bastards reaches Winterfell. It’s Bolton vs. Stark. Ramsay vs. Jon. Former-Snow vs. Snow.

Numerous characters will flood the battlefield and any number of them could meet horrendous ends, but who are the most likely candidates?

There are some dead-certs on the chopping block but with Thrones, nothing is that simple. Who will survive, who will die, who will be the cause of millions of tears this time around?

11. Jon Snow

Let’s face it, Game of Thrones can’t have two consecutive seasons ending with Jon Snow dying. It simply can’t happen, and after all the hype his inevitable return caused, there’s no chance he will be killed off so soon. Jon is in this for the long haul.

Fans are also fully expecting the completion of the Tower of Joy flashback and if it confirms the theory we’ve all been waiting for, Jon’s relevance to the wider plot will hit new heights.

Yes, Thrones loves to kill off its major players and those moments rank among the greatest in its history, but drawing Jon to his end would leave a bitter taste in the mouth.

Chance of death: 1/10
