Game Of Thrones Season 6: 7 Things You Need To Know About Euron Greyjoy

The Crow's Eye will be played by Pilou Asbæk!

Of all the major families we meet in Game of Thrones, the Greyjoys are perhaps the worst. The things they do may not be as terrible as the Lannisters, but they're generally pretty rubbish and annoying. Theon, for example, is an absolute d**k. And then, when he stops being an absolute d**k, it's because he no longer has a d**k, and is instead the subhuman Reek, a figure simply to be pitied, although he did redeem himself slightly at the end of season 5. Yara Greyjoy (Asha in the books, changed to avoid confusion with Osha, which ignores the fact it now sounds a lot like Arya) hasn't really had much screentime to show what she can do. Their father, Balon, was the worst of the Five Kings in the titular battle. However, there is one member of the family that is pretty awesome, even though he hasn't appeared on the show yet. Fans got very excited back in June, when a leaked casting call advertised:
"Pirate, man in his 40€™s to late 50€™s. He€™s 'an infamous pirate who has terrorized seas all around the world. Cunning, ruthless, with a touch of madness.' He€™s a dangerous-looking man. A very good part this season."
That was taken to mean Euron Greyjoy was arriving in season 6, and it has now been confirmed, with Pilou Asbæk the man set to play him. He should really shake things up a bit in Westeros, and if they do him right will be a great character to watch, and here's everything you need to know about the man nicknamed the Crow's Eye (with a slight spoiler warning).
