Game Of Thrones Season 6: 8 Things You Might've Missed In 'No One'

Will Tyrion ever finish that joke?

No One, the eighth episode of Game of Thrones Season 6, isn't the best episode of the year so far, but it is nonetheless an important one.

There are a number of plots that are in place here that should prove to be pretty key moving forwards. Arya kills the Waif, turns her back on the Faceless Men, and declares herself Arya Stark of Winterfell. The Hound briefly returns to his killing ways, but in the end delivers justice, not revenge. FrankenMountain shows off his incredible power, but in turn costs Cersei the trial by combat she was counting on. Meereen comes under attack, and Daenerys makes a conveniently timed return.

It's the sort of escalation of plot points that you'd expect at this late stage, and the likelihood is there's only one episode to resolve them, given episode 9 will probably feature just the Battle of the Bastards.

With all that going on, it's no surprise that it was another episode packed full of details that were easy to miss. The season has been big on references to the past, with storylines coming full circle, and that's no different here. You've got Jaime and Brienne mirroring their previous goodbye, Arya's words echoing those said by Sansa last year, and all of these as well.

8. The Brotherhood Cameo

The Brotherhood Without Banners, or at least the fake, murderous lot going by their name, get their comeuppance at the hand - and axe - of the Hound this week.

However, one of them wasn't just a random extra brought in for the scene, but Steve Love, a YouTube star known for impressions, and in particular his impressions of Game of Thrones characters.

It seems his videos, which have amassed millions of views, were enough to get him a part on the show. Though I'm not sure what having his head chopped off says about the quality of them...
