Game Of Thrones Season 7: 10 Ups And 2 Downs From 'The Spoils Of War'

Any time we get a callback to the Mannis being the Grammar King of Westeros is going to be an 'Up' in my book, but there was a lot to like on Dragonstone even outside of that correction.

The scene with Missandei and Daenerys, where they have a chat about Grey Worm, is an excellent little character moment: the pair are like giggling teenagers, not a Queen and her advisor, and it's a brief flash of the people underneath the titles. It also reinforces just how close they are, and should hopefully put to bed the 'Missandei is the mole' theories.

The scene with Jon, Davos, and Missandei too - just before we get the return of Theon - is another nice one, filled with more of the humour thatThrones has seemed keener than ever on this year, and with Davos and Missandei showcases another of its great strengths: throwing together two completely different characters, and letting sparks fly in their interactions. That's not to suggest any romance there, but just that it's a lot of fun watching Davos and Missandei together.
