Game Of Thrones Season 7: 10 Ups And 2 Downs From 'The Spoils Of War'

Ups...

10. Dragonstone Cave

Game Of Thrones Jon Flame
HBO

After being granted permission to mine for dragonglass last week, here we follow - in one of the episode's many gorgeously shot scenes - Jon into the cave, alongside Daenerys Targaryen.

We already know that Jon is perhaps at his best when he's in a cave with a woman, and we get some more great work from him here. Some were surprised by how cold the scene was between Jon and Dany last week, and already we're seeing more warmth and chemistry between them (even if it does still end with a 'bend the knee' demand).

The big takeaway, though, isn't their chemistry, but Jon's discovery. Turns out the Children of the Forest oh so conveniently did some drawings in this very cave, which helps Jon convince Daenerys that the White Walkers are real. She's not fully committed to helping him yet, but this is a huge step towards that, and as such another major leap towards the endgame.
