Game Of Thrones Season 8: 10 Crucial Things That Must Happen

10. Starks Reunited (And A Billion Other Reunions Too)

Game Of Thrones Season 8 Teaser
HBO

Season 1, Episode 2 - The Kingsroad. That's the last time we saw all of the Starks together. Since then, Ned, Catelyn, Robb, and Rickon have all died, Jon and Sansa reunited at the Wall, and then Sansa, Bran, and Arya reunited at Winterfell in Season 7.

This story started with them, and it needs to bring what's left of House Stark together before the end: that in particular goes for a Jon and Arya reunion, given they were the closest of the bunch. It might not go down as we expect, because they've all been through far too much to pick things up where they left off, but it does need to give time to show the Stark family all coming back together at Winterfell.

It's not just about the Starks in this case though. With so many people heading to Winterfell, there are going to be all kinds of reunions. Tyrion is going to come face to face with Sansa for the first time since Joffrey's wedding. Arya's finally going to see Gendry again. Bran is going to meet the person who pushed him from a window and left him crippled. Jaime and Brienne will be back together. There are so many possible permutations there, and with so much weight behind each of them, the show needs to find a way of getting them right.
