Game Of Thrones: Season 4 'Death Watch' (Loss And Change In Two Swords)

Nobody puts Sandor in the corner. Because there'll be swearing, and violence. And swearing again.

The world can rejoice once more, for Game Of Thrones is back on our TV screens. Ten weeks of dragons, knights, politics, incest, violence and sex; this show has audiences enthralled, even those who don't like 'fantasy'. Season four begun with the excellent 'Two Swords', a slow burner as many season openers are, but filled with plenty of great moments to whet our appetites for the next two-and-a-half months. Each week, I'll be looking those moments; the deaths, the villains, the heroes, the most shocking moments. Game Of Thrones has it all. I'll also look at the best book to screen adaptions and which character, if any, gets the upper hand on Tywin Lannister each week. Because, seriously, is there anyone more intimidating than Charles Dances's Hand of the King? But we're not going to stop there. Each week, we'll pick up the most prominent theme running through the episode; this week it was definitely loss and change, which we'll pick up in more detail as we head through the article. Long standing relationships were over. Characters lost hope, innocence and power. We came into 'Two Swords' with the world changed from the events of season three and with some interesting developments happening in our favourite character's lives.
