Rick And Morty Season 3: Every Episode Ranked From Worst To Best

9. Rickmancing The Stone

Rick And Morty
Adult Swim

After the spectacular, unexpected, and guns blazing opening to Rick And Morty’s third outing, Rickmancing The Stone was a disappointing and flat end to a high which had everyone fearing the worst as they momentarily sobered up.

In a universe dedicated to Mad Max with a smidgen of Game Of Thrones, the dark and clever humour from prior seasons was replaced with clichés, a monstrous arm with a lust for blood, and a Conan the Barbarian with a bucket on his head and – gasp - a moustache.

Almost all the jokes fell flat and, other than seeing Summer show-up Morty by swiftly taking out a group of braindead bandits, the only highlights of the episode were Jerry being an afterthought to the family, being bullied by a stray dog in the post-credits, and being called a ‘loser’ by a pack of leaves with impeccable timing.

As a lacklustre episode which felt more like the tired and bedridden Simpsons that everyone wishes Matt Groening would mercifully pull the plug on, Rickmancing The Stone is an adventure which proves that they can’t all be winners.
