The Flash: 8 Craziest (And Most Believable) Reverse-Flash Theories

What does Hsalf want?

Fans initially weren't quite sure what to make of a TV series starring The Flash. Would they be able to pull off the special effects on a television budget? Who was this guy Grant Gustin that had been cast as the beloved comic book character Barry Allen? However, an appearance in Arrow and a solid pilot episode helped to put those doubts to rest, and The Flash has since continued to go from strength to strength each and every week. One of the most interesting factors from early on was the presence of the Reverse-Flash. Comic book fans knew right away that he was the yellow blur responsible for killing Nora Allen, but the iconic DC Comics villain would not make his presence felt in Central City until he midseason finale. At the same time, another mystery was playing out in front of viewers; who exactly was Dr. Harrison Wells, how could he walk, and how could he see the future? It was clear from the start that he had some strange ulterior motives, but most of those appeared to revolve around protecting Barry Allen. It wasn't until the ninth episode that both of these stories would collide and Wells was revealed to be the Reverse-Flash. Or so it seems. This apparent confirmation has only made things more confusing for viewers, but that bit of confusion makes this whole mystery no less compelling to watch. Whether he's a Reverse-Flash or the Reverse-Flash, Wells is a speedster who comic book fans simply can't figure out. A big part of that is of course due to the fact that he's a newly created character for the series. As a result, figuring out his identity and motivations is not as simple as doing a quick search through Wikipedia or your comic collection. That's not necessarily a bad thing though, and as you might expect, there are plenty of theories doing the rounds created by those who believe they have the series figured out. Everyone involved with The Flash has promised answers by the end of season one, but how many questions will be answered fully remains to be seen. After all, the series was recently renewed for a second season, so this is a story which will likely continue into that. Here you'll find eight of the craziest theories about Reverse-Flash. However, as mad as they might sound, there's also a good chance that at least one of these is spot on...
