The Walking Dead Season 7 Premiere: 4 Ups & 6 Downs From 'The Day Will Come When You Won't Be'

The Walking Dead finally gives us a resolution to that cliffhanger, but was it worth the wait?

Who did Negan kill?

That was the only question on the mind of any viewer going into The Walking Dead's Season 7 premiere. Six long months have passed since that godawful cliffhanger, and at last we were promised an answer.

To that end, the show makes good on its promise: we do indeed find out who Negan killed, and get to see it play out in particularly gruesome, gory fashion (and I won't name names here, just incase you've stumbled in without seeing the episode).

Anything beyond that is a different matter though. The Walking Dead has long been one of the most frustrating shows on TV. Having stuck with it for so long, it seems silly to consider giving up now, but it does test your patience. If you got out during Season 2, or the mid-point of Season 4, then congratulations.

For those still with it, the Season 7 premiere, coming after that finale, is another major test of this patience. It's a dumb episode of TV, and while it gets a few things right - mostly due to its talented cast - there's a lot here that you'll want to take a barbed-wire wrapped baseball bat to. Spoilers from this point.
