Titans Season 2: 6 Ups & 3 Downs From Aqualad

Titans' trip into the past introduces a new hero... and gives us the answers we need.

DC Universe's Titans has undergone quite the rebirth since its return to our screens last month. Shedding its darker origins, the show has moved into the somewhat more light-hearted and heroic territory that many of us expected it to reside in in the first place. A significant change, no doubt, but one that has allowed it to flourish.

Up until now, the second season has primarily focused on Dick Grayson's attempt to reboot the superhero team known as the Titans (with a youthful new line-up) in a bid to undo the sins of the past. As for what those sins were, that was information we weren't yet privy to - other than the fact that it had something to do with Slade Wilson (a.k.a. Deathstroke).

Following a jaw-dropping conclusion to last week's episode - which saw Jason Todd/Robin come face-to-face with the invincible assassin - the writers finally decided to give us a glimpse into the past in 'Aqualad', shedding some light on what really went down during the Titans' first ride. Naturally, it had everything to do with Aqualad.

The episode made for an enjoyable detour - but one that was absolutely vital to the overall plot - so without further ado, let's jump right into it.
