5 Budding Female Stars In The UFC

These are the girls to watch!

Women's MMA has experienced a boom like no other area of the sport over the past year and a half, thanks in part to the success of Ronda Rousey and the women's bantamweight division in the UFC. Now that The Ultimate Fighter 20 has focused on the new strawweight division, and with the first few strawweight fights having already gone down in the promotion, there's a lot of new, noteworthy up-and-comers in the UFC.

It's not just the strawweight's however. Even though they're the new girls on the block, there are some bantamweight fighters worth watching as well - new additions to the division, and older names just breaking out now.

There are also a lot of question marks. Take Aisling Daly. The Irish strawweight, currently competing on TUF 20 (though it was technically taped over the summer, it is still airing), is a team mate of Irish superstar Conor McGregor, a fighter who has had perhaps the fastest rise to UFC stardom in the promotion's history. That sort of good fortune may rub off on Daly, who may see more of the spotlight simply by association (McGregor is due to make an appearance on this week's episode of TUF).

However, she's not quite at budding star status just yet - though she could be. Lets take a look at five fighters who are, and why they are.
