10 Backstage Wrestling Rivalries You Won't Believe

10. Scott Steiner Tears Up The Page

Towards the end of World Championship Wrestling, things weren't exactly being run as a tight ship. Oversights were obvious across the entire promotion, and WCW even infamously booked a newspaper ad to run after the show it was advertising! Scott Steiner was a notorious hot-head during this period, and had previously been suspended - with pay, of course - for an altercation with a backstage worker. Taking things a step further, Steiner started slating other members of the roster during interviews, which didn't sit well with too many people. After Diamond Dallas Page had heard Steiner rip into his then-wife Kimberly during a promo, DDP confronted him about the incident. What followed was a pretty one-sided fight, with Steiner flattening Page and having to be pulled off him by a group of onlookers. Again, following the scuffle, Steiner was suspended, but only from the following week's Thunder taping. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVsr4L2-osw It seems that from 1999-2001, Scott Steiner could pretty much do whatever he wanted in WCW, without facing much of a penalty for his actions. That must have made going to work fun for the various officials and backstage staff of the company.
