10 Best Things The Internet Has Done With WWE Raw (March 7)

Shane McMahon gets his smark on, Paul Heyman references CM Punk, and a rare optimistic view of WrestleMania 32.

This week's Raw was always going to provoke a vehement internet reaction. Whenever WWE rolls into a typically "smarky" town, provocative material is almost always guaranteed - and they don't come much more smarky than Chicago. Yes, there were CM Punk chants, but the major online response has focused more around the build to WrestleMania (and, of course, Saturday's Roadblock show). It was certainly an action-packed Raw, one which saw a great promo between Vince and Shane, a heel turn, a familiar face from NXT, and Dean Ambrose gaining the upper hand over Triple H. As encouraging as this Raw was, the general mood from fans still seems to be one of caution. In a vacuum, it was clearly a good show, but in the wider context of the current WWE landscape, it has done little to alleviate fears over 'Mania.

10. WrestleMania 32: Massive Success?

Although Raw generally did little to ease our WrestleMania worries, Reddit user SportsPediaSuley put forward a compelling argument in favour of the show. It's a simple point, but an important one: look at that damn card. Sure, one or two assumptions have been made, but there's no doubt that matches like Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn and Dean Ambrose vs. Brock Lesnar have the potential to absolutely steal the show - and that's without mentioning the appearance of supremely talented performers such as AJ Styles and the New Day. Then again, as unfair as it is, PPVs are often remembered by their main events - and Triple H vs. Roman Reigns has the potential to be a catastrophe in terms of crowd reaction.
