10 Best TNA Tag Teams Ever

10 duos that perfected the art of tag team wrestling.

TNA was founded in 2002, and initially set themselves up to be vastly different from their much larger competition in the WWE. Father and son owners Jerry and Jeff Jarrett delivered shows that were filled with adult content, Crash TV style writing and a bunch of ridiculous worked shoot promos. The shows also often featured great tag team wrestling.

The company went through a lot of changes during those initial years, and while the tag division hasn’t always had a lot of focus put on it, you could still find at least a couple of strong teams on the roster at any point. There were also some years in TNA where their tag division delivered exciting matches and compelling feuds that ran circles over what Vince McMahon was giving us.

Of course, there have been quite a few ridiculously awful teams in the company like The Johnsons, The Rainbow Express and Phi Delta Slam, but there have been plenty of great ones to balance things out. A few big name teams have come in for short runs like The Road Warriors and The Outsiders (The Band in TNA), but overall the company has done an admirable job of forming their own teams; ones that fans continue to look back fondly on.

Now let’s take a look back at the 10 best tag teams in TNA history.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
