10 Best Wrestling Face Paints Ever

9. Asuka/Kana

A professional wrestler can have many reasons for wearing face paint. It can be purely aesthetic - a way to enhance one's look or just appear damn cool. Other times it can be purely for image reasons, to create an iconic logo/symbol for a brand and the merchandise that one sells from that.

Intimidation is another reason for face paint, and sometimes professional wrestlers will don face paint in order to scare the ever-loving faeces out of their opponents. If you don't find the above picture of Kana (better known now as Asuka in NXT) scary on any level whatsoever then you are a stronger man, woman, or child than I.

Seriously, Asuka/Kana is terrifying enough as a competitor, and there's a good chance she could kick various features off your face without breaking a sweat. She doesn't need paint to be frightening, but when she uses it you can bet your final penny she's going to remove the last vestige of hope you had in the process.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
