10 Best Wrestling Titles Ever

Some are more prestigious than others, but these straps rank amongst the best designs.

In modern times, titles have probably never meant less to the world of professional wrestling, certainly in companies such as WWE and TNA. Belts are passed around from performer to performer, often with little regard for the heritage and history of the title itself. It seems for all the world that the most major of promotions see title belts as minor things, props which are only there to be placed on that hot new character, or to give two wrestlers (or more) a reason to fight on the next big event. That isn't the way it's always been - there was a time when pro wrestling belts distinguished the best from the rest, and had to physically reflect that they were worn around the waists of those the promoter had deemed fitting to be their champion. One of the most infamous names associated with belt-making is Reggie Parks, who crafted many of the most instantly recognisable wrestling titles known to fans today, working with the then-WWF right up until the late-1990's. The man who succeeded him, Dave Millican - who was actually an understudy of Parks - continues to make belts for WWE today, as well as for a number of other grappling leagues and Mixed Martial Arts groups. This article aims to explore the actual designs of the titles themselves, deciding which ones deserve to be ranked as the best creations in the history of the wrestling business. General prestige will not be a main factor, instead criteria is based on the aesthetics of the belt itself, and how pleasing it is on the eye.
