10 Best WWE PPV Matches That Ever Happened In September

A look at several classic matches involving the likes of Cena, Edge, Michaels and more!

The month of September isn't really known as a strong month for WWE. It falls right after the major August show called SummerSlam and Survivor Series in November is still two months away. A lot of the time the September PPVs feature rematches of feuds from SummerSlam. It's no different this year in WWE since the main event of Night of Champions will be Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena for the WWE Title in a rematch from SummerSlam. There are some awesome matches that took place in the month of September. In many cases, they're matches that would have been remembered as all-time greats if they took place at a WrestleMania or SummerSlam, but since they took place in September they're oftentimes forgotten. Here's a listing of all the PPV names that WWE has used in the month of September. In Your House (four times), Unforgiven (1999 to 2008), Breaking Point 2009 and Night of Champions from 2010 to this year's 2014 event. They also had a One Night Only PPV in England in 1997 too. It seemed like WWE was going to stick with the Unforgiven name forever since they used it for ten years, but for whatever reason they went to Breaking Point. Night of Champions is a concept that works, so it's okay that it's the annual September show. If you have WWE Network or you just want to re-watch some great matches from the past that aren't as celebrated as those at major events, you should give these ten matches a re-watch because they're all great.
