10 Biggest WCW Botches Ever

Can anything beat the debut of The Shockmaster?

There are people who would gladly say that in concept and execution, the nine nine year history of World Championship Wrestling (WCW) was a giant botch in itself. From "borrowing" WWE-made main event talents, making very few "new" stars outside of Sting and Goldberg, and likely holding back the progression of the cruiserweight style to the main event ranks, the company had many failings. However, there may have been something in the water backstage in World Championship Wrestling though, as well, many performers suffered some of their most unfortunate in (and out of)-ring moments while performing for the company. From heinous injuries to moments that still cause gut-busting laughs (and everything in-between), WCW certainly has more than ten moments where the in-ring execution of talents was off-the-mark. However, for the ten times that were likely the most significant, they're frankly incredible, one-in-a-lifetime moments that in many cases (given that WCW existed during the wrestling industry's height of mainstream popularity) cemented those moments in wrestling fans' minds as being the moments best associated with those talents. So, for every ex-WWF champion, Wrestlemania moment-having grappler, Mexican legend, independent wrestling stalwart, top-tier referee and pop cultural standard-bearer here, they're also likely just as well known for that unfortunate thing that happened to them in WCW, too.
