10 "Epic" Wrestling Rematches That Sucked

They unleashed a heaping portion of suck on the WWE Universe.

Rematches are always tricky to predict. Not the outcome, mind you, but the quality fans can expect from the bout. After all, there is a reason the original contest is considered a classic. That first match took fans on an emotional roller coaster that allowed them to completely invest themselves in the action unfolding before them. From storytelling to actual wrestling, everything clicked to create an unforgettable performance by all involved. Sometimes, the rematch eclipses the original, as was the case in 1993 when Bret Hart and Mr. Perfect delivered a semifinal King of the Ring tournament match that surpassed their SummerSlam classic from two years earlier. Hart also wrestled a far superior match with Diesel in November 1995 at the Survivor Series than he did earlier that year at the Royal Rumble, making The Hitman one of the kings of the rematch. Not every rematch is achieving legendary status. In reality, most fail to reach the lofty expectations set forth by the original. For whatever reason, the performers involved fail to recreate the magic that enhanced their previous battles and resulted in the epic contests. Be it pressure, age or simply pathetic performances, the contests unleashed a heaping portion of suck on the WWE Universe. Recently, fans feared the same would happen when Undertaker and Brock Lesnar clashed at SummerSlam. Luckily, those two performers delivered a match that far exceeded their majorly disappointing WrestleMania bout and ensured they would not find their way onto this list. At least not against each other. Who was not so lucky? Which infamously bad rematches landed on this countdown? Click the "next" button to find out for yourself.
