9. Jason Jordan Is Kurt Angle's Big Secret

In years to come, perhaps the 17 July 2017 episode of Raw will be regarded as the night WWE ruined Kurt Angle's big comeback by booking one of the most implausible storylines in recent memory.

Fans were teased with the idea that Kurt had a massive secret to share for weeks beforehand. Then, as Angle forced crocodile tears mid-ring, the Raw GM revealed that Jason Jordan (coincidentally someone WWE wanted to push as a singles star) was his illegitimate son. As the pair embraced with a hearty hug live on air, fans around ringside could be seen smiling. They probably wondered if Ashton Kutcher was about to burst onto the scene and announce they'd been Punk'd.

That was it. Jordan was Kurt's big secret, and WWE made no attempt to fully explain why this came out of the blue or why Corey Graves seemed to have the info before Angle. In fact, Corey's part in the build up was totally forgotten.
