10 Fantasy WWE Matches That Took Place On Free TV

9. Shawn Michaels Vs. Goldberg (Raw, 2003)

Admittedly Shawn Michaels and Goldberg don't exactly seem like natural opponents in terms of style. The former is all about fast-paced catch-as-catch-can wrestling and the latter - well, he tends to grind his opponents into dirt in seconds.

But think about the enormous size of their respective profiles. HBK carried WWE on his back through much of the mid-1990s, while Goldberg - at the very height of his WCW run - was arguably as white-hot as anyone in the entire history of the business.

A match between these two on pay-per-view, with a solid month or two of build, could have drawn a whopper of a buy-rate - even in 2003, a year in which the latter was not exactly at the peak of his powers.

Sadly, it went out on Raw instead, and - naturally - ended in disqualification when Batista decided it was an opportune time to break the then-World Heavyweight Champion's ankle and collect Triple H's $100,000 bounty. Are you proud of yourself, Big Dave?
