10 Future Roles For Current WWE Stars

When they hang up the boots, what could be in store for these WWE performers?

The average shelf life of the professional wrestler is estimated to be between 10-15 years. Physically, people's bodies start giving in to the incredible punishment working in the industry demands before they themselves are mentally willing to step away from the ring. This poses a problem, because some men and women continue putting their bodies through hell, instead of finding something else to do. Nowadays, that shelf life is perhaps shorter. This is due to the increased spotlight shone on the performers WWE employ. Today, WWE stars are in front of cameras more often than their contemporaries of the past, meaning it's more likely their stars will burn out more quickly. The big question is, what is there for a pro wrestler to do once their in-ring career is over? Some transition into other career paths, whereas others continue to perform for diminishing returns on the independent scene. The lucky few escape completely from the business, and don't have to take falling pay offs to awkwardly wrestle in front of smaller crowds. This article looks at 10 different WWE performers. All are currently under contract, and most perform as in-ring wrestlers. The aim of this list is to present an alternative role each entry could fill once stepping away from the ring or cameras full-time. Each enables the subject to continue performing if they wish, but investigates what other talents they possess to continue working for WWE.
