10 Goldberg WWE Matches You Completely Forgot About

Who remembers Goldberg's first WWE TV match?

Last night on RAW it was confirmed that Goldberg will challenge for a professional wrestling world championship for the first time in over 13 years at the forthcoming Fastlane pay-per-view.

Kevin Owens is the champion in his sights, and the Universal Championship match between the two will be the first Goldberg title match since he lost the World Heavyweight Championship to Triple H in a triple threat match also involving Kane at Armageddon 2003.

Throughout his career Goldberg has mostly taken part in squash matches that see opponents decimated, and as a result the majority of his matches blur into one. Most fans will remember his Survivor Series annihilation of Brock Lesnar and most fans will try (but fail) to forget the match between the two at WrestleMania XX, but the rest of Goldberg's WWE matches are somewhat forgotten.

It would take a true scholar to name Goldberg's first WWE TV opponent and his final WCW opponent, not to mention the individuals who stood opposite the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion during his formative days in WWE.

Let's see how many you remember...

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
