10 Greatest Wrestling Brawlers Of All Time
2. Mick Foley
The Three Faces of Foley all had one thing in common: They punished their opponents by whatever means necessary, even if that meant punishing their own bodies in the process. And that's what separates the good brawlers from the truly great brawlers.
Of course, the most notable bruiser out of these personalities is Cactus Jack - the character Foley first popularized in WCW and perfected in ECW - who always seemed to dish out more abuse than he took.
It was extremely rare for a Cactus Jack match to stay inside the confines of the ring for more than a couple of minutes at a time, and you could always expect any nearby furniture to be savagely destroyed by his opponent's face and/or torso by the end of the bout.
Foley was perhaps the most innovative brawler on this list as well, constantly upping viewer's expectations for what a hardcore match should be. Although he became more famous for being able to take the type of bumps that would kill just about anybody else on the WWE roster (except maybe Shane McMahon), we should never forget that he was a hard-hitting, tough as nails brawler who could dish it out just as well as he could take it.
