The Usos and The New Day were responsible for some of the best main roster tag team matches in WWE history in 2017, highlighted by a contest not even deemed worthy for a place on the show last August. Their spectacular SummerSlam kickoff match was the pick of the bunch, devoid of bells and whistles (and trombones) that would later be added to keep the combos fresh as the feud powered on through the ordinarily lean Autumnal months.

This back-to-basics battle will hopefully deliver much of the same, with match-of-the-night honours virtually guaranteed as long as the pairs perform to typical standards.

Unlike their Monday Night Raw counterparts, The Usos haven't ran off everybody on their own brand, they've simply beaten them all. Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods are on that list, but this unexpected return to the title picture will yield an overdue WrestleMania tag team title match for the trio.

With New Day back on top of the heap, a multi-team battle beckons, utilising SmackDown Live!'s depth to offer something busy and bombastic for the endurance-hardened 'Show Of Shows' crowd.

But what about Jimmy and Jey's Raw deal?
